Warrior Dash–Cliff Hanger

The 6th obstacle of Battle Ground Austin is the Cliff Hanger. Rappel down the steep ravine.

What to Expect

I would expect this to be similar to the muddy climb obstacle from the Forney event, but instead of climb up, you will be going down. I would expect a steep muddy slope that you over to rappel, but either by design or previous runs some nice foot holes to assist down the slope. The height of the slope is unclear to me as I can find any videos or images of this obstacle, but I would expect 6-8ft drop.

Warrior Dash – Walk the Plank

The 4th obstacle of Battle Ground Austin is Walk the Plank. “Traverse a gully on wooden planks.”

What to Expect
imageThis was not that hard of an obstacle, but does have it’s challenges and we will cover them here. The planks during the Forney Event were not too long, maybe 10 feet long. But they are narrow and elevated. They will also have a nice coat of mud on them after a few heats run past. From watching videos and seeing pictures of other events the planks could be longer and depending on the course, they could be over land or water.
